1. Celebrate Texas’ 181st Birthday

Texas is turning the big 181 this month, and you better believe New Braunfels is throwing a Texas-sized celebration! Free music will be going on at the Grapevine and Gristmill, and beers will be just 181 cents at Gristmill, Mozie’s Cantina del Rio, and the Grapevine. Many other places will also have discounts, deals, and everything Texas to get you out a to celebrate almost two centuries of independence.
2. Grab Some Killer Espresso
Wicked Voodoo Espresso is opening their doors this month, offering New Braunfels a taste of fresh espresso! This family-owned business serves only organic, fair trade coffee and uses only the best ingredients to make the perfect latte. They also just partnered with Voodoo Doughnuts to bring everyone a special dessert. Coffee up!

3. Try a New Spin on an Old Cafe
This month, New Braunfels is refreshing an old favorite. Krause’s Cafe is newly renovated with a fresh look, while still maintaining the historical touches of the original location. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the Biergarten or dining room, and enjoy 70 drinks on tap, including both German and American fare. The official reopening is March 9th at 5:00 PM!

4. See Loretta Lynn Perform at Gruene Hall
Country legend Loretta Lynn is taking the stage at the Historic Gruene Hall this weekend, and you won’t want to miss it! 5. Go to a Community Mixer
The McKenna Events Center is hosting a STEPS Awareness Mixer on Friday, March 10. STEPS (Solutions That Equip People for Success) is impacting lives in our own community. Light refreshments will be served, so please be sure to register by Monday, March 5!

6. Take Swing Dancing Lessons

7. Go Crazy at Two Ton Tuesday
The month of March was made for music! Gruene Hall is hosting an array of iconic events this month. “Two Tons of Steel” will be back for its 5th Annual Spring Break Show! 8. Do Some Wine Tasting
Texas South Wind Vineyard and Winery is the featured winery in the monthly “Come and Taste It” showcase. 9. Enter a Golf Tournament

Head over to Landa Park Golf Course for a one-person scramble on St Patrick’s Day. 15. Go to Schlitterbahn on Spring Break

Schlitterbahn is opening up just in time for spring break! On Schlitterbahn Lite days, the Blastenhoff section of the waterpark will be open for students looking to enjoy the warm weather in a safe and fun environment. This is the first of many days Schlitterbahn will open its doors prior to the summer, but some of us just can’t wait to jump in and have fun!
