Two Tons of Steel is making Tuesday nights fun again with Two Ton Tuesday, a summer tradition of two-stepping, country music, and family fun at Gruene Hall. Grab a friend to come dancing, or make new ones on your own by strutting your stuff along with the beat of the iconic summer band, Two Tons of Steel.

2. See a Painting Exhibit
The New Braunfels Art League is hosting a month-long exhibit, “The Wonders of Water” free to the public. Check out oil and acrylic, watercolor, drawing, pastels, and three-dimensional art by local artists who have contributed to the exhibition.

3. See a Drive-In Movie
What is more nostalgic on a summer night that pulling into the drive-in to watch a double feature under the stars? Stars and Stripes Drive-In has some amazing double features lined up this month! 4. Hit the Waterpark!
The temperatures are soaring past 100 degrees, and everyone in New Braunfels knows what that means: Schlitterbahn is open and ready for to provide some summertime fun. Grab a season pass or day pass (depending on your schedule) and cool off at one of the world’s best water parks!

5. Peruse Through Children’s Books

Grab a bunch of quarters from under the couch (or maybe even in between the seats in the car!) and bring them to the New Braunfels Public Library on June 2nd. Children’s books will be for sale at a whopping $0.50 each! There is nothing better than a good summer read while the kids are out of school.

6. Head to a Music Festival

7. Run and Swim Competitively
The Dos Rios Splash and Dash 5K is a race that will span two rivers and three parks and has runners jumping into tubes to head down the river chute. Register here for this fun summer fitness event (or if triathlons are more your speed, Texas Ski Ranch is hosting a triathlon on June 3rd).

8. Play in a Golf Tournament
The Landa Park Golf Course is celebrating its 80th anniversary this summer with a dinner at the Villa at Gruene on Thursday, June 7, as well as a golf tournament on Friday, June 8. Registration ends on June 1! Keep up-to-date with the event information on their Facebook page.

9. Compete for Glory in a Beer Contest
If you live in New Braunfels, you have to know about Masskrugstemmen, the event where competitors hold a full stein of beer with their arm fully extended. Whoever lasts the longest wins! Each winner will move on to another round and will ultimately compete in New York City. The ultimate champion will win a trip to Germany!

10. Support Your Local Theatre (and See a Classic Fairy Tale!)
