1. Admire some Gourd-eous Art

Okay, okay, cue the eye rolls for that pun...and then head to the Lone Star Gourd Festival! From August 3rd-5th at the New Braunfels Civic Center, The Texas Gourd Society will host an event that highlights everyone’s favorite produce-based art medium: the gourd. Featuring art classes, competitions, and so much more, this festival is truly one-of-a-kind.

2. Learn a New Sport

Looking for a place to learn or brush up on your sports skills? Check out some of the classes and activities at Das Rec that teach the fundamental skills of basketball, kickball, and futsal. 3. Play in the Junior Golf Championship

It’s time again for the Junior Golf Championship at Landa Park! For all the young golfers looking for a chance to prove their skills in a competition, this event is for you. Sign up today and get ready for a morning of good golf and good fun.

4. Cruise Down River Road

Every Thursday this summer is Bike Night on River Road! Start at Koozie’s at the heart of River Road and grab some dinner before you cruise your motorcycle on down to River Road Ice House and listen to live music and have a few drinks. After each show, there is a raffle for $100 Gruene H&D gift card. It’s going to be a good time!

5. Dance Along to Two Tons of Steel

The last few Tuesdays are coming up for you to see Two Tons of Steel make Gruene Hall come alive for a night of two-stepping Texas Hill Country magic. Get there early because the floor has been crowded!

6. Cheer on the Beer Holders

7. See NEEDTOBREATHE Perform

8. Shop at the Market Days

9. Play Board Games

10. Watch a Community Play
