Free to attend, this festival is put on by the Hispanic Business Alliance to provide the people of New Braunfels a fun night and to experience a Mexican tradition. The fest will have cultural food, arts and crafts, cultural history of the celebration of Dia de los Muertos, and live music and entertainment by the Mariachi International Monarca, Compania de Danza Folklorica, Terry Cavanagh, and Tejano Superstar, Patsy Torres. Save room for good food and good fun this Saturday at the farmers market!

Put on your Halloween costume, come trick or treating, and have tons of fun at this family friendly place. As always, there is wake boarding, paintball, skating, snowboarding, trampoline jumping, and plenty of food and drinks to satisfy the masses. Information on waivers and pricing are available at their website, and remember - this is fun for everyone! So bring the kids, the grandparents, the teens, and all in between.

Tap Into a Mystery Cask

Our beloved New Braunfels Brewing Company is always coming up with some crazy brews, and now they’re making us guess at what this weekend’s batch will be. Head down to the brewery on Saturday for the tapping of a Trick or Treat mystery cask. If you aren’t that spontaneous, they are also tapping the Otono and Otono Sour beers. The Otono is a Luftweiss spiced for Autumn, with hibiscus petals, rosehip pieces, almond pieces, cinnamon pieces, rooibos herbal tea, apple pieces, orange pieces, sunflower petals, calendula petals and nut oil (wow that’s a lot!). The sour version is the same but with a Blondine as the base. As for the mystery cask, come on down and try to figure out the secret ingredients!

When: Saturday, 1:00-7:00 PM

Where: New Braunfels Brewing Company, 180 W Mill St Suite 100

Party on at the Faust Hotel

The always fun Faust Hotel Bar is throwing its 8th Annual Haunted Halloween Bash all day this Saturday. According to them, they will be serving up "freaky food specials" and "demented drink specials" all day. Get there for the Carolina Reaper Wing eating contest, and be sure to come dressed in costume as there will be costume contests for a CASH prize for those best dressed in the scariest, sexiest, funniest, and best couple costumes. DJ Rudy will be there playing the Monster Mash for 12 hours straight! (Not really, but what if?) By the way, have you seen in the news lately that the Faust Hotel is actually haunted? http://www.ksat.com/holidays/halloween/ghosts-of-c...
