Before the crazy parties and festivities happening on New Year’s Eve, get out on Friday to catch Texas country legend Pat Green play at the historic Gruene Hall. Green and his band have muscled their way through the Texas music scene by performing at colleges and dance halls in just about any town you can think of, eventually garnering the success that includes over 2 million albums, several Grammy nominations, and a sold-out show at the Houston Astrodome. He consistently puts out chart-topping music and is a live music MUST for anyone who enjoys getting out and seeing a fantastic performance. Tickets may be available at the door, but have sold out online.

If you are between the ages of 15 and 19, bring your student ID and come on over for good music, good food, and great fun. Are there any parents reading this? If you wanted to go out and have a little adult fun, this is a wonderful and affordable way (only at $10 cover!) to make sure your kids are safe and having fun!

The Jesse Stratton Band will perform to get the toes tapping and the revelry running with his well crafted songs full of hope. You can expect a few fun cover songs, too. Next, Fools of the Trade will get the place rocking. The Phoenix is offering free champagne for toasts at midnight, party hats, and a raffle that could win you a Big Green Egg! Tickets are $10 at the door. Get there early so you don’t get left!

Looking for a fun, quirky, and kind of romantic New Years party? The Seekatz Opera House is hosting a Masquerade Ball for a limited number of guests. With only 200 tickets available, this party is set to be a roaring good time. Dress up in a nice gown or suit and listen to a 25-piece orchestra perform Act 2 of the Austrian piece “Die Fledermaus”. (Funny enough, this title translates to “the bat”...and we sure know about bats in the Texas Hill Country.) You can wear a mask if you’d like, but some like to show up in a cowboy hat and boots. You’re welcome to be whatever kind of fancy you’d like! Tickets are available here, and last year’s event sold out...so get them quick!

When: Saturday, 7:30 PM

Where: Seekatz Opera House, 265 W San Antonio St

Several bands will take the stage from the afternoon into the evening, so bring your friends and have a few laughs as we ring in the New Year!
