Located within its namesake city, Canyon Lake, Canyon Lake Hills is an established waterfront community. Set upon the banks of the Guadalupe River and Canyon Lake, the neighborhood offers a variety of housing options, from vacation homes to permanent residences, executive estates to lots waiting to be built upon.
A traditional Texas lakefront
neighborhood, Canyon Lake Hills was developed in the late 1960s and
boasts waterfront on 3 sides. With over 2,500 lots, the ages,
styles, and prices of the homes in Canyon Lake Hills vary widely.
While waterfront homes may run upwards of $500k, homes on other
streets in the neighborhood may sell for less than $200k. As a
typical rule of thumb, homes and lots in this neighborhood increase
in price the closer to the water they are.
Aside from living
a stone’s throw from one of the San Antonio area’s
favorite bodies of water, Canyon Lake Hills also provides its
residents with a variety of neighborhood amenities. Offering a
swimming pool, a children’s park with a play scape, tennis
courts, basketball courts, two public boat ramps, and a
pavilion, the neighborhood is ripe with recreational opportunities.
Within the Comal Independent School District, children living in the Canyon Lake Hills subdivision are zoned to attend Startzville Elementary, Mountain Valley Middle School, and Canyon Lake High School.
